(7.)How we got the Km Markings :

**1/12 of 60 = a clock has 60 minutes and is divided up into 12 equal sections; each section being worth five minutes so that means each twelth is 5 minutes

** 1/6 of 60 = Since the clock is divided up into twelve equal parts you can take what 1/12 is worth and times that by two. You can do that because 1/12 is half of 1/6 so if you know that 1/12 is 5 than 1/6 must be 10

**1/3 of 60 = Since 1/3 is half of 1/6 you take the value of 1/6 which is 10 adn times that by 2 = 20

The pattern is that the value of the fraction keeps doubling itself ( 5, 10, 20)

I played the Equivalant fractions game. I thought it really got you thinking if you were trying to do it with speed. Some of the questions are very simple but it still gets you thinking at a faster pace. What i liked about the site was all of the different games you could play depending on what you wanted to learn. There are many games like and intro to fractions, adding and subtracting fractions, and many more. The site is really good overall.

8. Two different ways to find 3/4 of 16, 22, 110
1. N/4 x 3 = __

2. 16/2 = 8 8/2 = 4 Then you take 8 and add it to four.

22/2 = 11 11/2 =5.5 11+ 5.5 = 16.5

110/2 =55 55/2 =27.5 55+ 27.5 = 82.5
