jordan's first growingpost

1 / 4 = 15, 60 divided by 4 is 15 . 7 / 12 = 35, 7/12 of 60 is 35 .

1 / 2 = 30 , 60 divided by 2 is 30 . 1/6 = 10, 60 divided by 6 is 10

-----------------------------------------------
Biycle race. 60 km.
Robie's and I

---------------------------------------------
For the bike race , to find the kilometer markers , we did 60/3=20 then we divided that by 2 because 1/6 is half of 1/3. then we divided it by 2 again because 1/12 is half of 1/6. so 60 / 3 = 20, 60 / 6 = 10, 60 / 12 = 5.

http://pbskids.org/cyberchase/games/equivalentfractions/index.html
a site where it teaches you equivalent fractions.
it's pretty good site overall .

------------------------------------------
To get 2 ways 1/2 of 110 and 3/4 of 110 is to do the chop thing.
To get 1/4 and 3/4 of 110.110 / 2 = 55 55 / 2 = 27.5 thats 1/4then you go 55+27.5=82.5 thats 3/42nd way110/4 = 1/4110/4*3 = 3/4

-------------------------------------------

1/4 + 2/3 does not equal 3/7

1.Sixty divided in to four equal parts = 15
that means 1/4 equals 15

2. 60 divided into 3 equal parts = 20
but their are 2 parts, that means you have to multiply
20 by 2 , and that equals 40 .

3. then you add 15 + 40 which is 55/60 or 11/12
not 3/7 .
