1 half plus 1 sixth is smaller than 1 fourth plus seventh twelves because, think of a clock and and 1 half is 30 minutes plus 1 sixth is 10 minutes which is 40 minutes all together and 1 fourth is 15 minutes and seventh twelves is 35 minutes which is 50 minutes. So that means that 1 fourth plus seventh twelves is bigger than 1 half plus 1 sixth.
