to get 1/2 of 60 you go 60 / 2 = 30 minutes.
to get 1/6 of 60 you go 60 / 6 = 10 minutes.
40 minutes or 40/60 or 4/6 all together
to get 1/4 of 60 you go 60 / 4 = 15 minutes.
to get 7/12 of 60 you go 60 / 12 = 5 times 7 because its 7/12 so 5 times 7 equals 35 mintues.
50 minutes or 50 / 60 or 5/6

7.(it was here) For the bike race , to find the kilometer markers , we did 60/3=20 then we divided that by 2 because 1/6 is half of 1/3. then we divided it by 2 again because 1/12 is half of 1/6. so 60 / 3 = 20, 60 / 6 = 10, 60 / 12 = 5.

To get 2 ways 1/2 of 110 and 3/4 of 110 is to do the chop thing.
To get 1/4 and 3/4 of 110.
110 / 2 = 55 55 / 2 = 27.5 thats 1/4
then you go 55+27.5=82.5 thats 3/4
2nd way
110/4 = 1/4
110/4*3 = 3/4

For the 'make your own fraction question' i chose the question why is 1/4 + 1/5 does not equal 2/9. I chose this one because it was the first question of the year and it was a surprise.
