Carmen's first growing post

What jessica and i did was we divided the price by the number of cans to find out how much each can was then we multiplied the amount of cans by how much each can was and found out that maria's is cheaper than bob's.

http://www.minussbaugames.com/pizza_game/index.html was my website and the game i chose was tony's fractions. it was about pizza. what i would do was it gave you a size pizza then how many slices there were then tell you that i want 1/4 of it to be pepperoni or 4/6 of it to be mushrooms and the more orders you got right the more money you would get. this is a good website becuase you got to use the clock method like what we did in class and it is super fun.

What we did was we used the clock method for all the questions. then we put up the postings.

#6what we did to find out when to put the markings 12th 3rd and 6th was we divided it by sixty. 60/12=5 so we put a marking every 12th of the way. then 60/6=10 so we put a marking every tenth of the way. finally we did 60/3=20 so we put a marking every twentieth of the way.i didn't see any patterns. #7 the first way to find a quarter and three quarters in 16 is you split a circle into four equal peices then divide all of those peices until you get 16 then shade in 1/4 of the circle. i made sure all of the peices were equal. the second way to find out a quarter and three quarters is you first divide 16 by 4 to find out what a quarter is the you times the answer by three becuase thats how many peices you had to shade in.
