Dharyll's First Growing Post

1/2 of a clock is 30 minutes
1/6 of a clock is 10 minutes
Equals 40 minutes

7/12 of a clock is 35 minutes

1/4 of a clock is 15 minutes
Equals 50 minutes

1/4 and 7/12 is greater than
1/2 and 1/6

In our bike race we used symbols like chairs and juice box.
We also put a legend to for what the symbols mean.
There's different strategies, first, I divided 60 by 12/6/3 or you can
use the clock method. 1/12 of a clock is 5 minutes, 1/6 of a clock is 10 minutes
and 1/3 of a clock is 20 minutes. One pattern I found is when the 12 is
divided by 2 and the minutes is doubled. _________________________________________

Here's the website. There's many different games here, like Soccer
Shootout where you have to add or subtract fractions. The answer has to be
the lowest common numerator/denominator. It's a good website because there are lots
of minigames.

On the 1/4 and 3/4 thing I chose 1/4 and 3/4 of 16.

How is 4/6 larger than 3/5?

4/6 is 40 minutes when you cut the clock into 6 equal pieces.
3/5 is 36 minutes when you cut the clock into 6 equal pieces.
