" I AM A RIGHT ANGLE TRIANGLE "

>> Today in Math class we learned all about Right angle triangles. We learned how to find the area of a triangle and we also learned all about the names of each side. There was a lot of information we took in. For example One whole circle is 360 °. You can split that up into four quandrants and get four 90° angles. The hypotenuse is always the line opposite of the right angle. The two legs are the lines that meet up to form the 90° angle. We also learned that to find the area of a triangle you go A X B /2. The reason for that is because to find out the area fo a rectangle would be A X B ( width multiplied by length) But a right triangle is only half of a rectangle. So A x B = the area of a rectangle A x B / 2 equals the area of a triangle simple as that :)

1. What's __ ÷ __?

2. How many groups of __ are in __?

3. Find a way to ge the answer!

Here the ways I got the answer. Check my Voicethread for the 3 ways

That's my three ways on how to get the answer, so far,
on how to get the answer for dividing mixed fractions.

LIEZL'S SCRIBE .

Today, we learned how to divide fractions by using examples with paint cans.

First, we looked at the question and asked ourselves..

EXAMPLE:
* How many groups of 2 are in 5?

OR
* How many times does 1/8 go into 2/5?

We also solved the questions using ratio tables and drawing pictures to help us out.
Just like in the voicethread I had created. (:

Jordan's Scribe.

some of the answer's i put were in pictures and others were in words.
The 4 fours .
1.) how to get to zero, with 4 fours.

2.) how to get to 1

3.) how to get to 2.

4.) how to get to 3.

5.) how to get to 4
6.) how to get to 5
(4 + (4 X 4)) divide 4 = 5
first you do the ones in the bracket ( 4X4) then, add 4 to the answer to(4X4) then divide the answer by 4, then youll get 5.
7.)how to get to 6
4 + ((4 + 4) divide 4) = 6
First you do the one in the bracket 4+4, then divide the answer by 4, then add it agian by 4 and youll get 6
8.) how to get to 7
(44 divide by 4) - 4 = 7
to do this question , first you do the question in the brackets () so, its 44 divided by 4, and that should give you eleven , and then you subtract 11 by 4, and that would give you 7.
9.) how to get to 8
4 + 4 + 4 - 4 = 8
this question is easy to do, first you just add 4 and 4 and 4 and then subtract 4 and that would equal 8.
10.) how to get 9.
4 + 4 + (4 divided by 4) = 9
first do the question in the brackets 4 divided by 4, that should give you 1, and then add 4 , then 4 agian, that should give you 9 .
